Some of Florida's finest saltwater fishing occurs on the Southwest Gulf Coast. This area of Florida has some of the best offshore, back-country and flats fishing in the state. Using light tackle for snook, redfish, trout and tarpon is saltwater angling at its very best. The extensive network of bays, mangrove islands and tidal creeks within the region present angling challenges to the accomplished angler as well as the beginner. There are thousands of miles of shoreline and oyster bars and acres of sea-grass flats that attract an abundance of saltwater game fish. The canals, bridges and numerous boat docks that also populate our area present their own unique fishing challenge to every angler.
Our area has an abundance of different saltwater species such as Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Trout, Permit, Barracuda, Grouper, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Shark, etc.
